Good news and sad news
let see.... the last thing i talked about was the announcement of our Baby news.
The day after i found out i was pregnant in August, i went looking for a job. i have been unemployed since January and i was getting board at home. So i went to a place i felt i knew id find a job. Subway. For those of you that know, this is a different Subway. (I worked at Subway Restaurant in Glen Burnie for a year and a half and then said goodbye for a lot of reasons. wile i worked there, my boss would call a manager in Pasadena when she was having computer problems and i would stand over his shoulder and learn how to fix the computer.) So i stopped over at his Subway and asked for a job. I was happy to know he remembered me and on the spot i got a job. The job is a lot less stressful compared to the other place, which is good for me.
On Aug 18, i got to meet my new cousin Bryan who married my cousin Jessica on September 22. Bryan is an awesome guy!
Here you can see my 12 week old baby it was hard to see an outline so i drew it for you :-)
Below my baby belly has started to pop out. I look at my tummy everyday and its cool how i can see a difference from week to week.
I am now 17 weeks into my pregnancy. I feel lots of moment from my Turnip sized baby every now and again. It feels like the baby is doing somersaults across by belly. At my last baby appointment i got to hear my baby's heart beat for the first time, it sounded really cool!
Brian and I can't wait for our next apt. in December. i will be 20 weeks pregnant and we will find out if we are having a boy or girl! So start placing your bets! :-D

the turnout was amazing. It was a two weekend project. The whole ward passed out specially made bags to every house in their neighborhoods. then the following weekend picked up the bags. I was asked to photograph the event, it was a lot of fun! I followed the Mueller family around their neighborhood. On the day we turned in the food, the truck we used was filled to the max!
I was told by Brother Yocum, who was in charge of the event informed me that the pictures i submitted have been chosen for a news paper! ( i have yet to see that)
On October 10 I'm happy to report that I passed my GED and I have Graduated!
I got to have my own ceremony along with other graduates.
I was happy to share this moment with family and friends.

In all this good news, The Thing family found themselves saying goodbye again to another daughter.
On October 15th Courtney Elizabeth Thing, Sarah's Twin sister, passed away.
COURTNEY
ELIZABETH THING, 20, of Glen Burnie passed away on October 15, 2012 at
Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Courtney was born in 1991 in
Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the Ruth Parker Eason School in
Millersville. Courtney enjoyed art and caring for her baby dolls. She is
survived by her parents, Jayne D. and Robert L. Thing, Jr.; two
siblings, Rebecca Thing-Miller and Brian Thing and wife Alisha; niece,
Jeanne Miller; and grandmother, Annette Thing. Courtney was preceded in
death by her twin sister, Sarah A. Thing.
It wasn't till the viewing that it hit us, that Sarah and Courtney's Death was complete. we all were numb to the whole news up till that point.
Friday the 19th, The Funeral service was beautiful but all too familiar. Friends of Jayne and Robert gave a talk and Brian gave a remembrance of Courtney. A beautiful musical arrangement of primary songs on the piano was played by a sister in our church and a neighbor played "If you could Hie to Kolob" on the Violin. Then we laid Courtney to rest with Sarah at Meadowridge Park.
A fun fact we like to talk about... Sarah was born 3 minuets after Courtney, and Courtney Passed away 3 months after Sarah. Their love and bond for each other could not be taken away from them.

Friday night after the services, i held a Mother Daughter dinner for my activity girls the theme was "our body is a temple". I didn't want to cancel it because my girls were looking forward to it. They had a great time. They got to make dinner for their moms, after dinner the moms and me and my other leader Sister Jones talked about our experiences in the temple. It was a very uplifting and spiritual experience.
this is how the room looked.
our table full of allegiance
our back drop was our focal point.
girls holding scriptures as our center piece
my girls working hard preparing dinner
My girls and their moms
Me and Sister Jones with our girls
For a Halloween party Brian and I were Captain America and Cat women.
But Halloween night i wore my renaissance dress, as did Becky and Jeanne was a witch.
November 7th was Courtney and Sarah's Birthday.
Mom Thing and I took balloons and a yellow and pink flower to the cemetery.
I made a cake and we had MacDonald's for Dinner. it was the girls favorite.
